		<description>There are probably a lot of valid arguments why steroids in baseball were (and probably still are) a bad thing. The most cogent one I can think of is that no player should have to take steroids to keep up with his competitors.

Look at the growth of pro football players of today over the players thirty or and more years ago.
In the late 50&#039;s and early 60&#039;s, Big Daddy Lipscomb was the biggest thing in the world at 6&#039;7&quot; and 290. Today, he could be a quarterback.(Or it seems like)
If we&#039;re going to go after something, why not the body armor that allows hitters to hang over the plate with immunity and without fear of getting hit? No more of the barry bonds prosthetic arm, shoulder and forearm braces.</description>
